My friend have a domain at name.com and he want to transfer it to another registrar , is it free at name.com ? i told him to email them and ask but i think i can get faster reply here since there must be many who have used name.com here in DNForum.

Hi, I am new here too.

There shouldn't be a fee to transfer a domain OUT of a registrar - the fee is paid to the company you are transferring INTO, so I'm not sure if I understand your post.

In any event, you should always ask the registrar about policy questions - they should answer you in a timely fashion, and if they do not, you may not want to do business with them!

Hi welcome to dnforums WelodyAnn,

yes normally there is no fee at loosing registrar, here they haven't mentioned much about transferring out of them. I sent them 2 emails and still haven't received a reply their support system seems really sux.

IF any Dnfroum member has used name.com i hope he or she would tell where i can find the Auth code.
