It appears that .travel will begin taking applications for approval to register .travel domains starting at midnight EST (EDT?) which is in just a few hours (http://www.tralliance.info/Special Notice.htm).
Here is an interesting article about the possible collision between this new approved TLD and the 143,000,000 users locked into the unapproved new.net .travel tld -- http://www.finee.com/travel_tld.htm
(Similar problems will occur with New.net conflicts now that .xxx is going live too. I see a class-action lawsuit against New.net either from their previous registrants, or the new registrants, either way. But I digress).
So, anyone out there planning to register .travel? Any travel agents want to hook up and do a JV for some domains?
