TravelGuide.org went for $2,279 the same place (pool) where I bought my .net a few months prior. Use this as some indicator of value along with the overture 58K for simply the words "travel guide". Google results are 9,820,000 with tons of ads in google. I am getting about 150 Type-ins per month (on the .net) and about 5-9 hits per day with some click throughs.

I believe valuation to various end users is $5-$10k. Very popular theme with advertisers and developers, especially as money from local boards of tourism starts to increase (these advertisers are probably better suited to your domain then the offerings of most travel companies which focus primarily around air, hotel, car -- and are a much larger category then tour guides and the like which may be what first comes to mind).
