In an earlier post, I dug through the top 20 sales from 2011 to see how the domains have been utilized since. What I found out was somewhat surprising; only 45% of the names were being actually utilized (35% were developed; 10% redirected). This is not surprising since I sold a name for over 80k about 7 months ago and the guy hasn't even changed the nameservers off my parking page.

sheesh,,,, what are people thinking.

Some people have too much money, too little sense what to do with it.

I've flipped reg fee names for $500+ only to see the domain hosting a blank page for an year, and being dropped subsequently.

But spending $2.6M on Social.com and letting it sit idle is downright criminal!
