We are trying to change a domain name over to a new nameserver (one that is being used on other websites), but we get the error:
Unable to add nameservers: Command failed: unable to verify existence of nameserver ns10.example.com
Is there a special trick to this?

Thanks!

Make sure that the nameserver you are using exists in the registry you are using (e.g. .org might not know about a nameserver being used in .com).

To do this, have your reseller (or yourself, if you are a reseller), log in to the reseller web interface, and click on "Add Nameserver to All Foreign Registries". Once the nameserver exists in all the registries, it should work.

Hm, Well this is a .ORG website, but I have used .ORG on GoDaddy before (and this is a .COM DNS).

I tried about five different ones. Even one that was not thru GoDaddy but thru RegisterFly, which made me believe it is Enom?

Another option is to create the nameserver using the parent domain name and
the IP address/es of the other nameservers.

E-mail me the nameservers, and I'll add them via my reseller account.
