Wanted: Service Tutorial Site Script

A script similar to http://www.good-tutorials.com/ can be created for
$800.00 with a $200.00 down payment (25% of $800.00) and the rest to be
paid upon completion of project ($600.00). This includes a form for guests
to submit tutorials/scripts, a page with newest tutorials/scripts, top
viewed tutorials/scripts, tutorial/scripts authors, and statistics page.
The script will also include an admin panel for an administrative user (1
user) to create categories and sub categories for the tutorials/scripts,
and section to delete or move any tutorials/scripts. All content/files
will be hosted locally either in a special directory or MySQL database

That is what my progammer said. Anyone think they could do this script for a cheaper price?

I think you programmer is taking you for a ride. You can buy a similar script like that for $25 (or $40 without the Copyright notices): http://www.optimumwd.com

maybe he is just building it for you alone while optimumwd sell it to thoudsands of user. You shouldnt ask a programmer to build something that is common. It will costt you more

After reading that you still want a custom script done; I may be able to do it cheaper... will look into it more if you're interested.
