www.memset.com are based in Hants and have "mini-servers" which are "virtual servers" rather than shared hosting. These work out cheaper than their full servers if you don't need a very large hard drive.

However I have 2 servers in the US and they are fine - 1 is $99 a month and the other is $25 a month !!!
