I must admit that I never understand people listing a domain in an auction, stating the time it runs ( here 48 hrs ) and what happens?
You read through everything interesting to come back later ( you know there is time left...) and
FINISHED- - - - - b4 the end.

you have answered yourself.

the fact that you might not have enough to to read the information, forces people to rush reading/thinking about it.

when you are rushed you are also thinking less reasonably and you may end up paying for something that you arent even interested.

however, domains, unless developed with traffic, do not have this problem because the name says it all. you might want info such as whois and expiry, but some people (I cant because i cant edit my auciton, for some reason), they also list the expiry date.
