unable to acess ND / earthquake

According to a South China Morning Post headline I just noticed, an earthquake somewhere near Taiwan has severed submarine fibre cables.

I've been unable to access ND for two days now - wonder for how long it'll last. Sedo is fine. Yahoo works, Google is down (I'm in BKK now).

This must probably be a great thing for Akamai sales reps and others peddling forward proxies and caches...

Ed, if you get a call from someone trying to sell you a forward caching solution with distributed caches deployed in Asia - go for it!

The home page been down here in the states for the last 12 hours , the landers are loading though.
