There is no longer a link to replace failed backorders with new names.

Has anyone else noticed this?

It's rather a nuisance, and I hope it gets sorted out soon.

Yes, I filed a complaint this moning and the said they 'escalated' it.

Of course, we all know that Godaddy backorders never fail, right? :)

I called them about this earlier today and they acted like it was my problem. They said it worked from their end and kept asking if I had cleared my cookies recently or had updated IE. I told them I'd check on another computer and call them back tomorrow. Guess it's not just me.

having same problem here!

Just sent them an email.

It is obviously from their end.
Not that they really catch much, but at least they should realize whats happening...

Did you do it in the morning or later on. I only noticed the problem in the afternoon, Americas time, but didn't try earlier on.

this problem happend today. around 12 hours ago.

They told me to send them a screen shot.. so I did.
Hard to believe they need a screen shot to realize we cant change the settings.

Had to do exactly the same thing...not like it will matter. They never catch anything decent. :)

It appears that all failed Godaddy backorders from henceforth cannot be changed. The ones currently still live can.

Not so. The method has just changed.

Click "Change Settings" then the "Remove Backorder" button at the bottom of the page.

Teah, tell that to the amateurs who use this servce. If you want to change the "method", be serious about making in clear on your website "how" you can do this, ignorance is bliss, and the less you know the better.

Just like you can tell everyone who registers those so-called "cheap" domains that you've just sold your cc to the devil in the fine print, imho.

The Internet is full of crap, I have used a lot of registrars, and Godaddy in my books is full of pretentious marketing hype crap. Okay, earn money, that's fair.

I'm confused. That's what I've always done. Are you saying there used to be another way?

toast, if a backorder fails, you used to be able to see 'change settings', where you can place a new one.
It disappeared now...

3rd day this has been broken.

I'm now going to file a support ticket asking them to manually remove each and every failed backorder every time. If they would rather do lots of manual work than fix their bugs, that's fine. Fill up the support queue!

I've discovered a work around. Maybe some others have already discovered this too.

It is very clumsy, but seems to work.

Assuming you have a backorder that hasn't failed yet, click on the change settings link.

In a different window, click on a backorder that has failed, and copy the 6 digit MonitorID= number.

Change the MonitorID number on the live backorder for the MonitorID that you want to change and hit return.

This then gives you a page where you can change the failed backorder.

It seems to work for me, but if anyone has difficulties with this method, you might like to post here.

Make sure you don't make a mistake and replace the wrong backorder by mistake though!

It would of course be a *lot* easier if godaddy fixed their site.

It would be good if they fixed it for all their customers :-(

I can change settings for backorders which haven't yet failed.

But not for ones that have failed.

Do you have failed backorders that you can change?

If so, are you with a reseller, or direct with godaddy.com?

Cheers.
