Hey Everyone,

I sent a $1000 offer on domain: clothingstore.com to this guy named Denny Schtuhlberg. Apparently he's the CEO of: hebeiltd.com.cn

He send me an initial response of only: "LOL"

I responded saying I had plenty of money and this was simply an initial offer. His recent email is stunning! (see below)

Well, you have to think that he would have many many offers way higher than what you initially offered... If you are going to send offers like that you have to be prepared for responses like this, imho...

totally agree!

i wouldn't be surprised if he has blocked your email address as well.

the majority of people who submit lowball offers only consider themselves and their budget, or think the owner may not know the value of the domain.

Nothing justifies his reply. Even if the receives a million lowball offers a day he really shouldn't reply in such a ridiculous way.

First off, your offer was a joke. However, his response was over the top but typical. This is banned member denny007

Completely agree with ARMG

Besides being unprofessional/uneducated in how they respond, they are also idiots. 6 figure sales can start with a $1K offer. End users often don't know value of names or what to start with ~

Did you counter at $1075, firm and final and ask him to cover the Escrow fee?

I'm not sure what you think is so unbelievable. You sent him an obvious lowball offer that was offensive, and then you got bit for it.

If you have plenty of money as stated, then you should have at least started at 5K and see where that went. When he sent you the "LOL" email, it was a dead give away he knew the value of the domain name and a 1K offer was a waste of time.

Instead of saying you had plenty of money, you should have offered him plenty of money.

No excuse whatsoever for such a foul reply.

I didn't say I agreed with the response, I said I didn't agree with sending offensive lowball offers.

Keep in mind however, who emailed who? You're on the internet, if you send a bunch of emails out, there's no telling who you will end up reaching. It all comes down to probability. That's why this "unbeleivable" email is not so "unbeleivable."

Sounds a little daft to me. If someone opened with 4 figures on any of my domains, and indicated the distinct possibility of more, I wouldn't find that offensive. I'd want to explore it a little more fully before venting such a disgusting spleen. But that's me I guess. Horses for courses.
