Understanding Overture

Hi everyone,

Do any of you have a link where it explains what Overture ratings mean? I see them mentioned on here all the time, but so far I really don't get it.

Overture is a group of search engines

The OVT score most people refer to is from: http://inventory.overture.com

This shows how many people type a certain term into the Overture search engines. If a domain with extension (yahoo.com) scores high results, it usually means people are searching for it and the domain should get traffic.

The OVT tool isn't always accurate, but can be a very good way to estimate type in or typo traffic.
