I reg'd this because it had a snap on it for one, and some link pop. But , does it have any value? What woud it best be used for?

It has a good sound to it. I think it's best suited for a site for actors (news, forums, casting calls...).

Pretty decent oneworder (though it's a compound word, so some may call it two) for theatrical and similar uses.

Considering that (deep breath) upstageproductions.com, theupstagecenter.net, upstage.ch, theupstage.com, upstagetheatre.com, upstagesupplies.co.uk, upstagedrycleaners.co.uk, upstagedancewear.com, upstage.art-effect.com.au, upstagediscos.com, upstageproductions.net, upstage.org.uk, upstagedrama.org, upstagekaraoke.com, upstagejazzcafe.co.za, upstage.ca and etc. are all already in use on the web, this one has got to be an easy $500, minimum.

I really don't know how successful any of those groups are, but $1,000+ doesn't seem unreasonable.
