I think it's amazing at how calm the pilot was throughout it, even if the controllers didn't seem to grasp what was going to happen quickly.

Pilots are trained to be in control of a plane and its passengers. They are calm by training and it's astounding that this is the first and only recorded wet landing of a large commercial plane that left it undamaged and with no injuries to the passengers.
