I'm ambivalent about this. On one hand, I welcome anything that demonstrates how important the internet is to everyone on the planet and wrests control from one powerful nation. On the other hand, experience shows that whenever important bodies become internationalised, they get bogged down in politics and bureaucracy which stifles innovation and acts as a catalyst for corruption. Witness Fifa.
