.US Launch Question

Hi all,

I was just curious, about the exact launch time of the .US extension. It will probably be a mad house right when the registrars open the doors for open registrations. Will the open registrations probably occur 12 AM EST on the 24th? Was this true with the .info./.biz launch? Any comments info. appreciated, thanks.

The most up to date information I've been able to find regarding the new .us tld, is found at the offical .us registry site, their web address is : www.neustar.us

I suspect there are also many tens of thousands of domains in Landrush queues at the participating Registrars, so when the Registry opens up things should be very busy for a while.

I have not heard the exact time that the Registry will go live. When it does, you'll also need a Registrar who has connected for live registrations...

I just got a message back from NeuStar.us today, they said the live time would be 10 AM EST on the 24th.
