For a long time I considered serverHold EPP status as an ally, since it was suspending DNS resolution of scamming domains that we disputed.

But recently, it was my turn to suffer a suspension (serverHold) because a young domain mistakenly being flagged as phishing by security vendors and registry reacting with this suspension.

The annoying part is that serverHold can mean very different things depending on the case. Sometimes reputation cleanup is the answer, sometimes the registry wants something else entirely. Getting the actual reason usually saves a lot of guessing.
