I'm curious. What value would you place on the following:-

EmailAccount.com
* active free email service (co-branded everyone.net backend) with 87,700 users
* 3,000-4,000 daily visitors to front page of site
* Over 1,000,000 monthly banner ad impressions available as "share" of overall ad impressions
* Growing by 100-200 new user signups per day
* Other domains: emailaccount.net, emailaccount.org, emailaccounts.com, emailaccounts.net, emailaccounts.org

It all depends.......would we be evaluating it for sale or just for present value?

I'm not too clear what the distinction you're trying to make here is...?

Can I please revive this thread since nobody answered it at the time?

Current stats:-

EmailAccount.com
* active free email service (co-branded everyone.net backend) with 109,200 users
* 5,500-7,000 daily visitors to front page of site
* Over 2,000,000 monthly banner ad impressions available as "share" of overall ad impressions
* Growing by 150-250 new user signups per day
* Other domains: emailaccount.net, emailaccount.org, emailaccounts.com, emailaccounts.net, emailaccounts.org

Let's forget revenue for a moment, and concentrate on the potential value of the 6 names plus the user base and the traffic...

Thanks!

well it's clearly thousands imho

I don't know exact... 7k? more?

You really can't "forget revenue" and get a decent appraisal. The name, client and traffic value is somewhere in the 5k to 10k range. The more access you have to your client base the higher it could go. For instance, can you send spam free emails to your users? Do you have demographic info on your users? Where are the banner impressions located (above the fold?, on entrance page?, after they have viewed 3 pages?) banner ad rates are not what they used to be. What are your costs to maintain the site?

If I were a buyer, I might think 5k was a good price and that I could squeeze out enough to recoup my investment if things went badly, but would feel like I was gambling if I paid anymore than that without solid revenue numbers.

Just tell us what it is bringing in.:confused:

It is hard to evaluate anything without an estimate of it's average monthly revenue. However, I will attempt to: Now from site statistics, premium (email) domains, as well as your vB community, I'd peg the site (plus forum) at $16,000-$18,000. Give or take from this amount depending on it's monthly revenue.

You're talking about the wrong site, Onyx. There's no VB community on EmailAccount.com. You're thinking of EmailAddresses.com which would not be for sale at 10x your appraisal price :)

On EmailAccount.com, the numbers look something like this:-

- Hosting: $15 a month
- Email service: free (for me)
- Banner ad revenue: More than 20x the hosting fee. Let's leave it at that. I'm not trying to maximize this, instead I'm focused on maximizing GROWTH.

The banners are "above the fold" in the top right of every page that users see.

I have comprehensive aggregate demographics on about 50% of all users (income, education, country, etc.)

I'm very interested/amused to see the hyper-low appraisals everyone is giving. I'm not complaining - all opinions are worth reading - but I already have longstanding unsolicited offers on the table higher than the highest appraisal so far in this thread.

Great site and I think that it is worth a lot of money just not quite sure of the total amount

definitely more than most are appraising for..
a lore more..

Must add 36 month revenue, current active user base AVG age. AVG age will perhaps provide you with an indication of purchasing power, credit card usage. The 4,000 daily users confirms that your base are newbies or use this email as a disguise email account. Can you eBlast monthly newsletter? (BIG FACTOR)
