I know it was a gamble. After all, it is VEGAS! :)

I agree, but there can't be any other extensions where VEGAS can be split into two? right?

unless there is VE.GAS in the future! :) :)

That is alot of cash for this domain. It's probably worth around the reg fee or less, sorry.

I'm not saying it's not a cute name. But it's not worth one thousand bucks; so if you paid that much I hope you have a plan for it.

Sorry about it Duncan, please take it easy. I felt very bad when you said it's worth less than Regn fee.

When CHA.SE was sold for $200.00 how can VEG.AS be worth less than Regn fee..I know I am not suppossed to argue when some one apprises a name here but I could't digest it!

But again I am sorry if you took it to your heart. I request everyone to be resonable in determining the value and not to insult the name or the person.

thanks,

To be frank, yes I did feel insulted when the name was apprised for less than the Regn fee. May be I over reacted. As I said please take it easy Duncan.

not even worth the time of day

not worth development money

Just my $.02 (and no - it is not worth $.02)

My take would be mid-$$ which actually amounts to reg fee...
Granted, some people like names like del.icio.us or blo.gs or whatever and are willing to pay big bucks but I think it's more the exception than the rule.
Personally I don't like keywords split in two parts because of the TLD,
veg [dot] as just doesn't sound right IMO.

wow, that was a cool apprisal! Thanks lawpal.

I call it like I see it.

The domains VEGAS.com and LasVegas.com reign supreme.

.as is the suffix for American Samoa, so perhaps it will be helpful to promote tourism from American Samoa to Las Vegas. With a population of 57,881, and canned tuna comprising 93% of its exports, it is an untapped market - for sure - most of whom, I can only guess, would rathe spend their money on the Casino Floor at The Wynn, or Cesars Palace, than on maintaining their hut on an island in the middle of the pacific.

American Samoa Facts

Good luck. When American Samoa becomes a dominant world power I will check back on the development of this website. Then again, I wonder if the rising ocean caused by the Green House Effect will eliminate that problem.
