ok, I am the first humanbeing to have purchased a .mobi with a hyphen.
Please no tomato-throwing. just professional advice, please

actually i think it could be a very strong keyword if you optimized it and made a site. Better than a lot of the non hyphen .mobis i have seen people regging. Good luck.

At this time, the site is "live" and have links to other japanese mobile websites through an affiliated program. So far it makes $30.00/month. This is before the .mobi is publicized.
In Japan, Vegas-Casino is far more accepted than VegasCasino. Was thinking about selling it with the affiliated program... Still thinking...

I admit that I also have registered hyphen .mobi's. Some of them are:
Macau-Casinos, Show-Time, Movie-Ticket, Show-Tickets, Equity-Loan,
and Business-Loan.

I have hyphenated .com parked sites that do well in Asia, so I took a chance with .mobi's as well.

I think we need to be open-minded and take chances. The reg fee is not a big investment.

Same in Japan. Hyphenated domains are a "+"! But didnt know how it would work in the western world. Guess it doesnt matter. We will get more hits from Asia than the west! :cell:

I like it. I think it works well.
It looks nice & has a few options for use.
Can't help with value though, too tricky.
I have very few hyphenated domains, but the few i have are .mobis!
They can work well.
People would say blog.mobi is valuable...yeah?
Therefore people are expected to type loads into their cellphone to participate. I am sure they can manage to type in a hyphen then.
Like you say, hyphens are very popular in asia, Germany too. 2 reasonable sized markets! :madgrin:

although hyphen domains are better in germany and japan (and i myself have a lot of .coms because of that), but for mobi you always gotta remember you have to type that in, so I wouldnt hold my breath for type-in traffic..personally I think the .mobi pricing is probably near its high point right now as I would think that rather than developing a separate .mobi the .com webpages will still be the ones still that are being used for cellphone, pda etc. might that be because the gadgets become better or the pages, but i think mobi right now is 99% well promoted hype..
