I find quite disrespectful calling a peer domainer "ignorant" just because he doesn't assign your domain a high value. He actually provides a VERY VALID comparison in a language a bit more popular than italian. Also, his explanation about he ended up with the domain is VERY VALID TOO. Not finding a buyer is a good indicator that one registered a crappy domain, regardless the initial opinion.
I personally have been stuck with {english dictionary word}.com just because its not particularly valuable or easy to develop. I find venerdi.com/net/org hard to develop/monetize, leave alone the .info counterpart.
Next time you ask for an appraisal, make sure you actually want an appraisal and not just reassurance of your own estimates.
And YES, I agree with TOM, thats the way domaining works!
Sometimes one falls in love with a domain that no one cares about. I have been there, many have been there and many will be there, particularly novice domainers. Otherwise, there would not expire 25K-40K domains a day.
