One comment, 'Bandwidth'. I have developed a .mobi site and am in the process of more. To be fully compliant with .mobi standard, the page load size is somewhat restricted. It is recommended that even picture resizing is done serverside to reduce overhead on the device. If video streaming is device dependant it will limit the number of mobiles that could be used for this service. This is the problem with many web pages on mobile phones, they are too busy and expensive to load. Maybe in a couple of years everyone will be equipped to use streamed video and TV on their handsets.

It has potential. Japan doesnt charge that much for downloading videos. We accept 3gp, 3g2. Videomatch.mobi sounds really cool! Why read when you can record yourself on your phone, upload and find the perfect match! Not all companies have the same system as the states. We are charged per kb and also have packages in which we can pay a flat fee and download ALL that we want for the month for $200/month. If you cant get your business set up in the states or UK, forget about it. The money is in Asia. Once people in the states/UK are able to have such fantastic phone service, go ahead and launch there! IMO

again, you all, this is not .com. Dont think that its related to .com only. There are new ideas that you can come up with using the mobile phone and NOT the pc. .mobi is for "instant access" and "on-the-go" communication and information. .com can do everything and probably more, but people dont want to stay at home typing while the world is moving outside without them....ah..gotta go outside....:bolt:

Thanks for all your comments. I was going to sell this but I might try and develop. If you have any tips on server-side video conversion, I'd be grateful for a PM! I seem to remember one that runs on Linux that starts with 'ff' or something?
