I have this name on sedo that has been getting offers, but it hasnt been high enough for me, tell me what you think its worth, they have been offering $1600, and I want about 16k, the name is

VideoOnDemand.net = Video On Demand .net

let me know your thought.

It is a working site, but thinking they only want the name.

I think 1600 is a decent price for an end user with the .net ext. Try and make them double their offer and settle for the 2500 counter offer.

Video on demand is huge, and wil be growing rapidly.

You should have taken the $1600 offer and sent it to auction and then publicised the hell out of it.

That would have given you a much better indication of it true value.

A direct email campaign to certain potential interests would have drawn attention (perhaps) if they were truly interested.

are these offers coming through sedo or are the prospective buyers contacting you directly? if they made an offer through sedo, you should've been given three options (by sedo) - 1) accept the offer, 2) make a counter offer or 3) push to auction.

if people are contacting you directly and you feel their offera are much lower than you want to accept, then ask them to make the offer at sedo. explain that you'll let the market decide the domain's value. if no one else bids, they get the domain at their original price.

of course, there's a chance the buyer won't do this and you're out a sale, so weigh the plusses and minuses.

Yes the offers coming in from sedo, and yes I did see options, but I choose the counter offer with my price, not sure if I seen the auction tab, will have to take a closer look at it.
He keeps rasing his offer, and I counter offer. I guess I would be happy if I got something in the high xxxx range. I have had this name since 1999, its a working site.

Counter to $3k - $5k would be more realistic at the moment. For $16k, the buyer can possibly secure VOD.net which is much better than VideoOnDemand.net

when his next offer comes in you can use the option to take it to auction. It is there. Look for it. EACH time an offer is made you are allowed to do it. Look for it. You can bring it to auction anytime there is an offer, if you make the offer it is a price and you cannot choose to auction. When he counters you will get that offer again. Take the option to go to auction. It will go with a start price of his last offer and you start to market like crazy.

I received a new offer for the domain VideoOnDemand.net, a couple of people of suggested to put it up for auction, which I am willing to do, but other people have suggest if I do that, then market the hell out of it, how do I go about it, where, and
how do I go about it. Any suggestion would be appreciated. The offer just came in, so I have 5 days to put up for auction, I would like to do it, tomorrow, or the following day

I think its worth more then the 1700 they are offering for it.

Send it to auction...$1700 is a fair price and you will never get $16,000.

Do not send it to auction though if you're not willing to let it go for $1700.

It looks like buyers are paying 5 - 18 years revenue for domains with traffic so I would multiply your annual profit from this domain by that amount to decide if $1600 is a good price or not?

I think you can sell it more. This is the slogon for quite a few companies including shaw.

Video On Demand is big and going to be huge. Persoanly I would not sell at anywhere near that price and not at this time. My price would be upper $x,xxx in to $xx,xxx.
