Well, this is gonna sound strange, but I used to sell commercial real estate. And the rule of the road was that you had to leave something on the table for the next guy (or gal), or else what's the incentive for the new buyer? Commercial R.E. is all about the numbers, so if the ROI is too low, the buyer walks.

I got myself into thinking V.C was worth waaaaaay more that it really was (see my previous post on sellers always thinking their asset is worth more than it really is).

I got more than my reserve, and I'm very pleased (as long as there's a payday). The buyer got a classic name, for which he paid a decent chunk of change, but still a very reasonable price. Everybody satisfied.

And I got a war chest for my next project.

I too am interested in what you will do next.
