Yes, you heard  ..... another Positive move for the DotMobies...

Hold tight for the ride ;)

...Visa International has invested a seven-figure sum in dotMobi, the industry group behind the mobile domain name....

...dotMobi - Visa announced a strategic investment in dotMobi, a consortium of wireless industry leaders that is pioneering the use of the ".mobi" domain address and is enabling the integration of enhanced mobile commerce into the mobile consumer Internet experience.

Really, what the hell does Visa know about investing.

Really, what the hell does Visa know about investing.
Why would they back such a bone head idea and project.

I have no idea. Why are you asking me?

I thought I was responding to someone else.

And with trusted mobile payments will come mobile adult activities. Thank you visa.

Where did the "seven figure" claim come from? All the information I found including the press releases from Visa and mTLD did not seem to mention the size of the investment. Reuters and others report:

"Visa said on Wednesday that it would become an investor in Web venture dotMobi, which is promoting use of the .mobi Internet domain address -- instead of .com, for example -- for mobile Web browsing. It did not disclose the size of the investment."

Well, you're not. You're answering your own damn questions, dumbass!
I didn't realize this was possible

I didn't realize this was possible
I know. Kinda neat...like talking to yourself.

So, what's the point? No one's listening or paying attention.

That is precisely the point.

 I JUST LOVE YOUR SCRIPT.....

.....IF YOU KEEP THIS GOING.... THIS COULD BE THE NEXT BIG THING ON THE BOX

Well, what can I say..... It has been a pleasure to highlight this Great News ;)

:uhoh: :uhoh: :uhoh: :uhoh: :uhoh:

Not for long..... Paypal maybe BIG indeed....

but VISA is HUGE

Well, I was hoping for a news source a little more authoritative than a mobi fan site that does not substantiate its claim of "seven figures." I'm not saying it is not true, just that it would be nice if there was a more established source also reporting an estimate of the investment. "Seven figures" could mean many different things depending on the type of currency or the placement of a decimal point.

Who gives a rats a$$ if it's true or not... it's good for the mobi industry!!! Hoopla!!!! Go VISA!!!

Yeah they probably paid (invested) $10,000.00 (7 figures) for those crappy .mobi names.

Crappy.mobi is taken

These are available:

CRAPPYNAMES.COM
CRAPPYNAMES.MOBI
CRAPPYMOBINAMES.COM
CRAPPYCOMNAMES.MOBI

These are available for reg fee at the registrar of your choice. Broad appeal to both MobiPhiles and MobiPhobics.

I own DAMNS.MOBI and I know who owns SUCKS.MOBI.

I am willing to negotiate on my DAMNS.MOBI but I am not sure about the wiggle room on SUCKS.mobi.

I have regged

PAYCC.MOBI
PAYCREDITCARD.MOBI

URLtrader ;)
