First of all I am SEO Consultant I never sold domain names so far and never appraise the domain name.
I posted this domain name for $700 on SEDO but when the buyer ( who really intended to buy it at this price ) ask me for a certified apprasial that cost $50 I said ( I dont pay for appraisals).

Anyway I can see the value of this domain name becuase he is easy to remember and is included in DMOZ.
The name is great for online malls

Also the domain name is old and I boght it from someone that had thid domain name from the person who registered it in 1999.

This is why I estimate the price for it now it is $1000-2000.

But could be much more.

Please advise me:

1. to sell if now for $1000

2. to wait for a better offer

3. to put an directory on the domain name , build some links ( 2000 or more backward links), make it PR5-6 google and sell it at $10,000 ????


If any of what I said makes sense for you please answer me.

I would like an answer for these questions please:

1. how much worth this domain name without content now ????

2. how much it could woth ( in $$$ orcourse) if I will make it PR5 , and build around 2000 links to it ( also I can lower the alexa rankings to 100,000 using promotion theniques) ????

Now all these make sense to me. Anyway someware I had this thought but then I was convinced that It was no SCAM because He told me to use any prestigious Appraisal Firms I want!

But I thought it dose not worth it , because the price was too small to worth paing for an apprraisal.
And if I dont like the price , I will start to promote a little bit this domain name to obtain PR5 and I will sell it then.
So Because I need an Appraisal eatch time The website status change I thought it dosent worth to pay ( because as I said $700 was no enought and I might be foreced to promote this domain name and put some content on it in order to sell it at a higher price)
