Just a heads up to save some possible problems/confusion....if someone buys votetrump.ca they won't be able to take possession of it for 60 days from May 1st as that was the reg date.
Doesn't mean you can't sell it ...but new owner just won't get until then under new CIRA rules.

Yea I was reading up on that on the other forums. Does that only apply to never-before-registered domains (i.e. votetrump.ca), only .ca domains, or to all newly registered domains even if they were in existence before I picked them up?

Doesn't the 60-day rule only apply to transferring the domain to a different registrar?

Aren't you allowed to push the domain still? Say you registered with GoDaddy and I have a GoDaddy account, couldn't you still push the domain to me?

From what I've read I think you're right rngrdanny22. I can "push" the domain to another GoDaddy account, but then you would have to wait the 60 days to move it off of GoDaddy (assuming you wanted to).

That's at least how I interpreted it.

NOT WITHIN 60 Days....interpret it however you want. Read the thread I linked to and find out more.

Ah my bad, I was reading another forum post. The one you linked is definitely much clearer! Thanks.

Now I'm confused...

I read this on Sedo's help:

Can I still transfer a domain during the 60 day registrar lock?

Yes. A domain can often be sold and transferred during the 60-day registrar lock. However, the domain cannot be transferred to an account outside of your registrar. The buyer must create an account at the current registrar, allowing an internal account change (or "push") to occur. During a push, the seller uses the buyer’s registrar account login name to move the domain away from his own.

You may list domains that may be subject to a 60-day lock, and Sedo will help facilitate the transfer process if an agreement is reached. For more information about the general transfer process, please visit Sedo's Transfer/Escrow Service overview.

Note: Some registrars may not allow internal account changes/pushes, so a domain transfer is not always possible during the 60-day lock. If a push is not possible at the seller’s registrar, the domain can still be sold, but the transfer may be postponed.

So wouldn't this mean what rngrdanny22 and I were saying is correct?
