In the medical world, V/Q or VQ stands for Ventilation/Perfusion, the heart and lungs working together.
When the heart and lungs are not in sync with each other (not enough oxygen passing through the lungs getting into the blood) this is called a VQ Mismatch. Specialists that try to identify the causes and the effects are Pulmonologists and Cardiologists...lung and heart doctors.
When someone develops or is suspected of having a blot clot (embolism) to the lungs, they get a VQ scan.
It is a niche market but one perhaps to pursue. Siemens, GE and a few other industry giants who manufacture these scanners might be interested. With the increase of robotics and video feeds from off site specialists and the ability to transmit results and images electronically, someone may be interested in the very phrase VQ Net.
Don't want to get your hopes up, but that would be the best bet for an end user market.
Ok, class over.
