There's proboards.com; free hosting and free forum boards, VERY easy to set up.

That's really the only free one I know of..

All the nice ones (like this one) you have to pay for..

I would pick phpbb and then search a good free webhost. Without too many ads. But i would suggest you to find a paid host. Plenty of cheap and good hosts.

phpbb2 is probably the best free bulletin board. I am very pleased with it.
