Good luck. educause.edu to register it. Unless you are a 4 year degree granting institution with the papers to back it, then you have no chance. I was lucky enough to register mine back in the day...Still have it because it's so damn rare.

Its impossible unless you are an accredited US university. You can buy an old institution but prices now are over 20K. On the upside There are only around 4000 .edu active domain names. Rare merchandise...
