I don't see why it would be ridiculous. I've had some nice offers just not the perfect one yet.
100$ can definitly get you a decent name.
I'm not looking for WebMedia.com I know I can't get that for 100$ but 5/6/7 character words (non existing offcourse) you can get for less then 100$ and could be perfect.
Anyway thanks for the nameboy.com website it might be usefull sometime
