since we have the german site "vermietung.de" (meaning rental.com) we are looking for a good .us. (.com probably unaffordable !)

I believe rentals.us would be the top word ?

Actually, two words, rental units.

For the most part, it refers to single dwellings within a larger complex.

It could be a camp site with a number of cabins (rental units)
