Wanted: Domain Wanted: Someone to create my website/forum

I own guitarheroforums.com and guitarheroforum.com

They are the perfect domains to develop, but I lack this skill.

I have a project posted on guru.com and have been getting bids between 150 and 300 to create a website/forum for me.

I am posting here b/c even though I havent got responses to my earlier posts I want to give it one last shot here b/c i feel someone here would be better for this than at guru.com

If you have hosting and SQL server (most do offer it) you can set up a forum for just a few hours.

phpBB and SMF are good forums that are free and easy to set up (SMF also has great plugin-installation features along with importing RSS feeds).

Most likely the people charging you will customize them (color, themes, art) for what you need.

yea thats what i want. i could install the forum myself, done it before but cant customize it, but im looking for the total package. maybe a portal, custom icons, logo, phpbb hacks, etc.

This is for the guitar hero game thing? Do you have a big budget for a wailing interactive site or are you looking for that 300 buck skin? Drupal and Joomla also offer forum modules and a lot more than "just forums." They offer video capabilities making your forums far from leading edge. Look for a package that will allow visitors to show off tricks and riffs. I have never seen this thing so cant do much more without research.

Skinning, sites design and logos I use http://www.baevadesign.com almost exclusively.

I use it on my site http://www.aav3.com/

It comes with a portal, arcade, phpbb forums, and so many more modules.
Its easy to setup all you have to do is upload the files to your root folder and install. Then you can customize it.

Are you going to be paying the person to do it or for free?
