Last night I was walking Luna and heard a propeller plane overhead and didn't hink anything of it - small jets and prop planes are flying over all the time when landing at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE).

But then it got very loud and I thought that the plan was big and low and I thought it was an old WWII bomber that flies in every now and then but it didn't sound like it.

It got VERY loud and I looked up - a WWII bomber and 3 fighters were flying in formation over my house.

I went in and grabbed my flip but I wasn't able to take good video of them but it looked like they were circling over FXE (not far from where I live) so I hopped in the car and drove to the airport to get some pictures. The people who manage where they fly in let me go out onto the tarmac to take pictures of them (it was OK by the owners).

If you like vintage WWII aircraft, enjoy the pictures.

(Plus some shots of a local K9 that was there, too).

I live by Reading airport PA... I'll remember to get some photos and video for you , they have a museum at the airport and many vintage planes come in and out, plus they even use the airport for pilot training. I'm not an expert but we have seen some pretty neat stuff practicing takeoffs and landings. Some circle the city in seconds. Stealth bomber was even there once practicing the pilots once.

My son and myself watched what people said were warhogs or warthogs? coming in real slow, touching down, then rocketing off for about an hour, we were amazed.
