They are locking up (tasting) every available .com domain that comes up unregistered.

EVERYONE OF THEM!

For Example:

lol NameGuy

i always was suspect of other sites doing this but since I never look up names at NS, would have never considered them for spyregging.
(just made it up and it's available) go reg it before netsol does

also...

they are now touting ".us.com" as the .com alternative!

will that shake up .mobi

Maybe to protest we should all search for domains like
ztuohprsjfnapjnprehfgpihrevhinfdv.com and so on, watch them all get snapped up by the front-runners. :)

dang!

just checked one and "whois.sc" says

Registrant:
This Domain is available at NetworkSolutions.com
13681 Sunrise Valley Drive, Suite 300
HERNDON, VA 20171
US

Domain Name: SPYREGGING.COM

Administrative Contact, Technical Contact:
Network Solutions, LLC
13681 Sunrise Valley Drive, Suite 300
HERNDON, VA 20171
US
1-888-642-9675 fax: 571-434-4620

Record expires on 08-Jan-2009.
Record created on 08-Jan-2008.
Database last updated on 8-Jan-2008 19:31:03 EST.

Domain servers in listed order:

ns1.reserveddomainname.com 205.178.190.55
ns2.reserveddomainname.com 205.178.189.55

my conclusion is....

DT is in cahoots with NS to list all names that are available to register at NS

thus giving NS the big reg fee and i'm sure DT gets a cut

they also block out the .com on the DT page, which makes the novice think it's not available!

they have even set up the url to forward "This Domain is Available - Secure it Now!"

hover over and it's www.spyregging.com

some behind the scenes bs going on in domain world!

good catch NameGuy but I'm wondering which one of these scoundrels conjured up such a plan?

Yep and it's in real-time.
Check a domain, then type it into your address bar and see how quick they register it and add it to their DNS.

So then register the jumble domains!! :)

I think that's the only way we'll get action. 10+ random letter / number domains!

Pretty funny

actually...not funny at all

these registrars get to "burn the candle" on both ends and never get burnt!

they can reg names at no cost, while monitoring what you search

you are working for them and paying them at the same time

and in between they can get some ppc money too

and that's nothing to laugh at :)

netsolengineersf***monkeysdeepandhardinthea$$.com
netsollicksmonkeycumspyreg.com

Spy-Reg is dirty pool - shame on Network Solutions!

Pretty outstanding technology(?) - and fast.

MyRedFaceIsSore.com did not disappear from the available list for ages (over an hour). Then upon doing another search "SoreFace.com" :within less than 45 seconds both were gone.........
