I noticed a domain watani.com was coming up for auction at namejet and received an email saying "4 hours till auction starts" or similar (domain was registered with enom) and now no auction but it registered by Snapnames . Something strange going on there. There were something like 63 bidders. So what did enom/namejet do with the name ? Too many strange happenings with Namejet, dont trust them one jot. Shame they are now involved with Fabulous.com so may be time to move my domains.

It probably was a expiring/pending delete domain and not Pre-Release.

The difference is that expiring/pending delete domains are fair game for any backorder-service-provider to grab, while a Pre-Release domain is a domain NameJet has in one of their partner-registrars and where they are guaranteed to get.

So it seems Snapnames got the domain. You should always remember to backorder on all the major backorder-service-providers.

OK thanks for the 2 replies. I shall forgive Namejet/Enom this time then, still like to know what happened with pearlqatar.com though !. Will remember not to rely on only one company in future.

Right - if there's a pending delete name that you really want, you can't just rely on NameJet to win it. Best to place orders with all of the major players.
