We finally sold one of our domains recently - original thread here
http://www.dnforum.com/f48/gamegeekspeak-com-domain-11k-posts-444-member-vbulletin-forums-thread-246994.html#post1245518

The buyer asked us a few times to erase the thread so it did not get indexed in Google. Funny given the age of the original thread. But after a few requests, I switched it to just sold, then thought better of it and set it back. One of the benefits of the forums here at DNForums is to be able to not only see other activities to gauge future sales and purchases, but we have learned alot from reading the boards here. If everyone just whiped their threads blank it would be a loss of information for us all.

What is funny if the flip post they made on another forum - which is blocked here, but a google search brings it up.
http://www.*********.com/marketplace/auction/17189?

I had to laugh when a friend sent it to me, asking if I was selling. I told them yes, had already done so from here. The story is funny because it seems to stretch the truth and yet not at the same time.

What I find funny is the stats. Having run the domain and community for a year with no ads to see 50k quotes and a BIN of over $2k I just laugh.

So, I took the opportunity to post my good byes to the community and some of the people I have known on the domain for the past year since I started it up. I wished them the best of luck and departed with a wave and a smile.

And to the new buyer, or rather the new second buyer in a few days, I wish them a dose of caveat emptor.

Does a new domain buyer not do a simple search engine check before throwing down hard cash?
Don't they ask questions like where are the stats for the past 3 months?
I wonder what the time limit is on how often a domain name can be flipped anyway?
