I know that opinions on the whole "Web 2.0" thing vary greatly, but what are people's thoughts on these?

I've personally found that using all the "Web 2.0" stuff has been beneficial and have used it recently to drive one of my websites from a PR3 to a PR4 without really having to do much (if anything) to the site itself, so I think it has a market and is here to stay/grow.

Someone with a bit more knowledge in the area would likely be able to put these to better use than me as I'd be out of my depth in terms of developing them in to a useful site, but I saw they were available and decided to risk the reg fee.

Honestly, I don't think there's much value attached to any of these. "Web2seo" doesn't really make that much sense, as there's not really anything called that. Couple that with the fact it's a .net and you don't have much value. You could maybe argue that the use of "tags" may have a little "web2" in it, but that's about it IMO.

I have a similar "web2" name in dot com that I plan on making into a web2 showcase site. Should work well. Your names in dot com might have been worth something, but the .net hurts in this case. Good luck tho

I think that the "traditional" ideas of what SEO means at the moment do hurt this domain a little in terms of what potential people see in it.

Many people I have spoken to see SEO as a guideline that you can only control via your own web pages. And although I will never deny that ensuring your own pages are up to scratch and tick as many of the boxes as possible, I think "Web 2.0" has added a whole new set of tick boxes which involve looking beyond your own physical web pages to what else out there you can use to improve your PR, Search Engine Listings etc.

I think as the "Web 2.0" craze grows that it will become more and more important for people to "Optimise" the presence they maintain in the environment, whether they like it or not.

As I said above, I have already used a lot of external "Web 2.0" sites to increase the PR of one of my sites from a 3 to a 4 (with the added benefit that we are once again #1 on google for the top 3 or 4 related keyword searches) and I managed this within a few days.

I went out and I made sure my sites were listed in relevant Wiki Pages, that we had group pages on all the big Social Networking sites that our RSS feeds were included in appropriate places. That was just phase one for me....I've still to do the work on my own site so as to make it more "Web 2.0" friendly. It was this research and work by me that sent me looking for the domain and I was surprised to see the .net was available in all honesty.

So in short....I think as "Web 2.0" grows and as people become more savvy about SEO and break beyond the traditional meanings it currently holds, then Web 2 SEO will make a heck of a lot of sense.

I'm not an expert in "Web 2.0" or indeed in SEO, but I am very analytical (it's how I once made a very healthy living before getting out of the rat race) and I think Web 2 SEO will soon become a branch of the traditional concept of SEO that cannot be ignored.

Web2Apps I think is the stronger of the two, especially as we see an ever increasing plethora of Social Networking sites and clones and widgets etc etc coming on to the scene. As I have no real interest in creating "Web 2.0" sites at the moment then I'm not sure what I will do with this one, but I'd imagine it would appeal to anyone who is a developer in this area.

web 2 marketing is just one part of a seo campaign, so i can't see an end user (seo firm) being interested in this, sorry.

Unless of course that end user was a new/upcoming seo firm looking to get a foot in the door off the back of Web 2.0

chances of that = 0
If you are a serious SEO firm, the last thing you want is a third class name in order to show everyone that your company doesn't even know what they are doing.
Sorry to say, but those names are worth zip undeveloped.
