Trying to get a feel for my site and interest in it/offers for it. If its the right price I might sell.

www.buddy-central.com
pr4 but pr hasn't updated for a while

link pop from marketleap is
990 total
187 alltheweb
305 altavista
418 google
48 hotbot
32 msn

Also linked on 6 major icon sites
10 button/link exchanges overall

Site has been in development since april and went live about 3-4 weeks ago. Site is totally custom one of a kind, there is no other software out there like it. Everything on the site uses one login and pass. Its an all in one aim site. It has subprofiles, buddy icons, away messages, quotes, etc its pretty self explanitory. There is also a hot or not rating script but that hasn't gone live yet but it is 99.9% finished. Most stuff like away messages and subprofiles have links to tell people where others got them from to build repeat traffic and get new people to sign up. Here are some things from awstats so far this month as of this post.

It's a nice site. Not sure what I would be willing to pay, though. Will have to give some thought... of course, you could help by letting us know what it's worth to you ;)

I am interested because of the content and the existing inbound links.

Cheers,

Wesley

Well I paid the programmer $500 for the software to be made. So I guess thats a number that it would start at.

I got a question pmed to me so I will answer it here also incase there is any confusion.

I designed the site, the whole thing, there is not a clone of the site at all anywhere and it is not a clone, it is all original and there is no other site out there like it. There is no download or anything. The whole site is php running on a sql db. When I say the site was built and I hired a programmer I'm talking about the entire site, everything you see except the web design, frontend back end etc. The and banners and logos were designed by me and incorporated into the site.

Site appears to be down at the moment... I was going to check and see what all the site does (what was programmed).

Would you mind highlighting what the site offers (since I can't get to it at the moment)??

Appreciate it ;)

p.s. I understand the basics you listed, but I'm guessing that you tied the icons, etc in to a manageable database with a back-end control panel??

You are correct in that. to save time there is a bulk uploader for icons, and away messages, etc. None of it is just an html site, it is all php db driven with a large backend. The site should eb up shortly I have contacted the datacenter. It would have been up sooner but I have been sleeping in cause I have a 16 hours shift to pull tonight from 11:30pm till 4:30 pm the next day.

Its back up everyone. There was a person on the box who uploaded a php script that ddosed a couple of machines. So the server is cleaned now.

I am possibly interested in buying it.
Why are you selling the site?
How many hours per week do you spend running the site?
It is on a Lunix server, using php/mysql, right?
If I buy it, can I take over the existing web hosting account?

no you can't take over the existing account you'll have to move it to another server.

I would pay $500 for it. I would need you to keep hosting it for a few weeks though, until I can move it to a new server.

Guestbooks have been added to the subprofiles now to enhnace the subprofiles features, and also a hot or not script has been implemented on the website at www.buddy-central.com/rate/ and this is also running off the same database, basically the username and pass for this part of the site is the same as the main site and the forums.

I bought a site from thomor25 in the past for $x,xxx and he was great to work with. We spent countless hours trying to get everything moved and functional. He was great to work with and I ended up hiring him to do some design work for me on another project after that. Just wanted to share my experience with the seller.

Good luck with the sale... I love the logo.

I traded links with his site about a month ago, and I agree, he is a professional and a very nice person to deal with.

Good luck!
