I was reading about that. It's incredible that no one was hurt and just as incredible that 99% of the damage was to the mast - that's it.

live on it. Have it moored somewhere and live on it. When you move, you move with it. So cool, how fun would that be.

crazy if true.... what made me wonder, not being a photo edit geek, is that in the "attack" photo the guy's shirt is red but in the harbor photo his shirt is blue... I could certainly understand the need to change his SHORTS after the event, but his shirt? hmmm......
 
The photos are legit and from a person on a whale watching cruise. They had been trailing these whales and the reason this particular whale was caught on film is it had already breached twice so the person had their camera trained on that spot.

Now, another person on that same boat has released this video of the event:
