Devildude who has posted many times to adult section and has even said that he was contacted by a porn site owner about partnering with him is 15. His profile stated he was born in 1988, since this issue has been brought up he has since changed it to 1975.

Gt- web is 15 (look at his profile-as of a few hours ago it still stated 1987 as his DOB) who has also posted here I believe but not nearly as often.

jh3 has confirmed that he is aware that they are both 15 or 16 yrs. old. and namesalve has stated that he is aware of the problem as well.

as far as entering into a contract with a minor goes, you got me on that one.

Domains are domains, adult or not, they should be discussed as such. Also I don't believe owning an adult name is against the law either just because of the content that "COULD" be attached to the domain. GT-Web and Devil know they are not supposed to be in this section, who should be held responsible for them if they are, their parents. This content can be found in about a hundred million sites on the web and what is stopping them from going to those sites? Nothing!

There is no need for another forum, this one will do just fine. There are many more people just like me who wheel and deal in all varieties of domain names.

I think to handle any legal issues, DCG just needs to modify the terms of service to include a line about the adult section and I will bring this up to him now. I am also still pushing to get this section moved into the Platinum area ASAP.

The minors entering into contracts has nothing to do with anything. If you are 15 and you purchase something you do have a binding contract. Have you ever purchased a CD when you were 15? Do you think you could break the CD and request your money back because the deal you made to purchase the CD was not binding? Not a chance. There is a lot more to contracts then being of legal age.

FIRST OF ALL We aren`t talking about 12 dollar CD`s here. Try holding a 15 yr. old to his/her end of a contract when they bailout on a $15,000 domain purchase and see how far you get.

First of all, unless a legal document is signed, I dont think there is a contract. Secondly, I always live up to my end of transactions...I know some adults who dont, but nevermind....Finally - its just as easy for a 45 year old man to slip out of a transaction as it is for 15 year old teenager...on this forum we should all be equal

The adults here should recognize that and at least make an efforet to refuse entry to minors to the adult section of DNF.

Definitely a good place to start.

USARN, if you feel so passionately about this topic, you should realize that being caustic and writing this section off influences nothing. Seems like Jason's making a genuine effort, and getting mad only gets results when you're in a demonstration/protest and have like, 50 other people just as mad as you... and chanting.

I also think Izopod's idea of a completely separate forum isn't realistic either. Truth be told, adult websites are innovators in the web/business development area. It's a fascinating sector to look at, even if you don't run one of these websites yourself (and would never think of it). For the record, I don't run any adult websites (unless you count WEBSEX.ORG, snapped for other reasons, and getting some residual traffic I've tried to cash in on).

I've gotten some good advice on it, and its clued me in to some interesting opportunities that stretch outside of that market. Food for thought.
