Hi folks,

I was wondering what do you think of domains with US at the end, as an abbreviation for United States, are they any good? I don’t mean the .us extension but names like computingus.com or energyus.com, ect.

Thanks

They don't do anything for me.

I see, I was just wondering, when you are still a newbie your mind can be flooded with all kinds of crazy ideas, thanks for the advice.

Sorry, didn't mean to just leave you hanging. I just don't see how they make much sense, at least from a generic view. How many people are going to search for "shoes us", "toys us", etc.

Don't over think it man. The Germans have a saying "Too clever is stupid".

Nope, unless it's Latin: Minotaurus, Icarus etc.

No that’s great, all good advice and I totally see where you are coming from, I am still trying to learn what does and doesn’t make a good domain name, thanks for the advice.

I'm a domain n00b also, but from everything I have learned/read so far, I wouldn't bet the ranch on them.
