Skype was a popular for business chat, then Covid came, and new options popped up. Now Skype seems to be faded out, well for business at least.

What would you use to do a live business talk with a potential new client?

Yes, for HostMaria - when a support tickets don’t help > I arrange 15-minute Google Meet calls with the users who are properly lost..

.. I have found that Google Meet is the simplest option, where Zoom is more complex for people who haven’t used it (many out there), and M Teams is even more difficult for people who aren’t that advanced (yes, for many these are technologies they haven’t used yet).

The simplest are WhatsApp calls .. I prefer G Meet

.. just a few days ago cancelled our Zoom subscription.. haven't used it even once (this particular company account) over the last 6 months.. always have been using my free Zoom instead (especially when in UAE and HK).

Ok, and what do you use on daily basis for making video calls? .. video calls are crucial for doing sales, business meetings and team follow-ups these days

I write a cold email, and say PAY UP!!

Talk over Whatsapp, Signal,Telegram whatever the client wishes. if meet or zoom is proposed, most go over to Whatsapp.

For a 1-off sale > most probably. Then there are ongoing business deals - business relationships .. not always in-person meetings are possible, and then a video follow-up call is the next alternative

it seems the thread was started by a hosting-service related user .. the question was probably on the general business procedures..

and, 100%! mind plays tricks on us all the time this reminds me some uncomfortable mistakes made
