If the status is PENDINGDELETE, the domain will be deleted regardless of expiration date.

The domains now seem to be provisionally renewed. The registrars have up to 60 days to decide whether to pay for them or to let them go to the delete cycle. I have seen the type of thing as in this post only with Network Solutions, that 'super' registrar. I have seen names with dates up to 2006 that are pending delete AND, they DO delete. One site was up the day before they deleted it's domain. I'd like to know the rest of the story about that one!
