Hi.

What is a revenue domain?

a revenue domain is one that produces money from the traffic it coverts into clicks when parked at a ppc service

ppc service = pay per click

ppc services....

parked
sedo
namedrive
domainsponsor
fabulous
etc...

it is usually a domain that gets type in traffic, but link traffic can make a domain a "revenue domain" for a short while.

Agree with BobDiGiTaL, if the domain has type-in traffic that you can convert to revenue using either PPC or PPA/affiliate without too much development then (IMO) I would consider it a traffic domain. Once you start developing a domain into a website then it's a little hard to distinguish how much traffic can be attributed to the domain name in its own right.

it is usually a domain that gets type in traffic.

ding ding ding ding!!!!!! TYPE-IN traffic is the key...or typo for that matter, lol

is it possible to get traffic on non typin domains by proper optimisation?

wont it get listed on its own when it is parked?.....or do you have to manually submit the sitemaps to the search engines?

you would have to park your names and see if they get listed

or you can try and manually submit the sitemaps to SE's, if your parked pages have one.

these things happen through trial and error and that builds experience.

some domains do make the SE's, depending on the keywords, content and individual ppcs' ability to place your pages in SE's.

some domains that expire may already have listings in SE's and some maintain that link after it's parked.

however, most times an expired name will lose it's ranking in an SE's over time, again depending on what's done with it after acquisition.

imo...

How do you check if your name has made the SE? Search the name without "" and extension?

Building on this, is a linked click not a type in?

Nope.

A type in is when someone types oh say cruise.com into their browser address bar and goes directly to the site.

Hey I just realized this is my 1000 post.

where do you find your type in traffic stats? I have all of mine parked at SEDO. Also, what is the best way to get revenue from domain names?

when u dont have a typin is it better for a good parking company like
DS to auto optimise it or it makes more sense in self automising?

Domainsponsor.com another parking company. Much the same as Sedo but obviously they all have their differences.
