.IN could be used for any of the following.

.INdustry
From PPC perspective this works out much better than barnding as India specific domain.

Sorry, but I think I'm having a premature senior moment here. How exactly does a .IN domain help in associating a site with Info or International or Industry?

If JoePublic sees widgets.in he is not likely to think widgets.industry or widgets.international.

And if JoePublic is clever, he might think that widgets.in are based in India, which may well be a negative factor.

But personally, most of those hindi names are a waste DCG.
You'll need to dump most at renewal time next year !
