Seriously, you nailed the top ten reasons on the head and I think the very last one is very spot on.

For me, typically in my profession I attend a couple of conferences throughout the year and getting time off to take a vacation is often a chore. I don't plan on taking a vacation to attend a conference.

I'm stuck on a rock that's good enough for the G8 Summit (2000), but not domaining conferences. :rolleyes:

(Plus I will never fly to one knowing I have a 12 to 30 hour layover and 3 or more flights)

Except only with Japanese/Taiwanese/Hong Kong/Chinese people since direct flights.

I wouldn't understand a damn thing and they'd constantly be talking about 8. o_O
