I'm just wondering when looking up various keyword and website traffic, at what point experienced domainers start to get excited about profitability?

What are good places to get those numbers?
What are some good metrics to look at and thresholds to consider?

Thanks !!

There indeed are other variables that need to be taken into consideration when trying to find "exciting numbers".

Here are a couple of the most important variables to consider:

- traffic origination
- market saturation/competitiveness.
- conversions (clickthrough and/or sales) if existing website or parked domain.
- valid/non-toxic inbound links

imo, traffic numbers mean absolutly nothing without having at least a general idea of the info listed above.

Others that are good but rarely available are:

- 6+ months traffic trends
- 6+ months page-view (if developed) trends
- 6+ months Conversion (clicks, sales, membership sign-up's, and such) Trends

Hope this helps..

Thanks!
