Thank you.

Is that the same as 1900-2000 UTC ?

I ask, because we use Eastern Daylight Time here, which
is one hour ahead of Eastern Standard Time.

i thought it happened every 6 hours?
is this for certain registries?

Maybe it's valid to network solutions...

Thanks.

It's been a couple years since I followed name drops.

I'm tracking a low-value name, which, hopefully, no
one else will want.

.org's drop at 9:30 am eastern not 14:00

Sharpy,thanks for your reminding!

Okay, that's good to know, because I'm tracking a .org.

Is 9:30 am eastern the same as 1430 UTC ?

Hi Ovicide,EST+5=GMT.

I don't think it's been like that for a while now. The last .org domain that I went for (which was about a week ago) dropped at 3:31 PM EDT (19:31 UTC).

Do you just keep hitting the registration button during these time?

Keep in mind that the domains will drop between 2:00 and 3:00 pm ET but backorders or bids in general need to be placed before 1:00 ET.

Good luck!

Kevin

With respect to trying to accomplish a manual reg during a drop, you probably will never see the name listed as available during the drop period, and thus will not have the opportunity to reg it.

If there is a name that you really want, placing a backorder, or multiple backorders, is the best option to pursue.

Good luck.

Kevin
