For Sale What time of the day (with time zone) does the "drop" occur?

I have lost out on a couple of names recently. I am sure that they were hand reg'd by other people before I tried to hand reg them . They were not snatched by drop catchers. What time do I need to be at the computer trying to fetch names if all I think I will be competing against are other people out there trying to hand reg? I know that I can not compete with a drop catcher; I am just wondering what time does the "early bird" need to start trying to reg a name by hand to win against others who will be trying the same? Does the drop happen in the wee hours of the morning, or sometime during the afternoon, or when?

Are you 100% sure they weren't caught by a drop catcher?

As far as I know, drop catchers (and by this I mean any registrar that is trying to pick up names as they drop, not just the well known 4 or 5 drop catchers) pick up all .coms and .nets within a second or so of the name dropping.

I think You are right.
Everything is being registered, so manually You don`t have big change
